The Spaceships we created in 3D Studio are added in. Here's the U.S.S. Petey!

In these two photos, you can see the basics for our game. On the left is our player, the famous U.S.S Petey, and on the right is our background. The background is yet to be stretched and fit to the game view dimensions, but there it is in a square. A camera is added in to record from directly above the player, and lights are added to make the scene brighter and make sure everything can be seen.

In the two pictures above and to the right, you can see the background stretched to the right size and the correct camera view. Also, the player now has a jet, so that whenever it is moving, a fire is seen coming from the back of the ship..

In these two images, one asteroid has been added to the scene. Soon, more will be added and they will eventually spawn on their own and in waves. The player has the ability to shoot it with lasers, but the asteroid can also crash into the ship, destroying it. The asteroid will rotate and move rapidly down the screen towards the player, and the space ship will have to dodge or shoot. you.

Here, you can see the shots that come our of the ship. They are 2D, but from the camera angle, they look 3D. This one simply laser can take out a whole asteriod. After the game was published, I successfully added in a second shot, which made the game so much easier. We needed to set the shot spawn at the ship, so that no matter where the ship was, the shots would always come from it, and not just some random spot in the game.  t you.

Here are some videos showing the game while it's being played. It shows the player when it was first moving, an asteroid being shot, and a short, full game being played.
