We began our bottle rocket journey in AutoCAD, designing the perfect cones and fins. In order to get the correct measurements on the computer, we needed to measure the diameter and circumference of our bottles as precisely as we could.

To the right, you can see the main part of the rocket, the bottle. The opening of the bottle was the bottom, because that's where the "fuel," the air and water, will come out. On the left is the cone placed on the top of the rocket. It was laser cut out of thin cardboard.

The fins glued to the bottle are seen to the right. We had four of them laser cut and the shape and size proved to be perfect. On the left, the tube and ball placed on top of the rocket can be seen. They were used to direct the bottle's direction.
